Soccer Recap: Orange Glen Takes a Loss

Orange Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Escondido Charter Tigers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 820th, while the Tigers are ranked 311th).

Orange Glen's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Escondido Charter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange Glen will face off against Southwest SD at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Escondido Charter, they will take on Maranatha Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Escondido Charter knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Maranatha Christian likes a good challenge.
