Volleyball Recap: Goldsboro Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Goldsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Princeton Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Goldsboro saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Callaway Sauls had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Sauls.

Addison Taylor had an outrageously good game for Princeton as she had three digs, two aces, and one block. Taylor has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 29 times she's played.

Goldsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Princeton, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Goldsboro is set to take on their familiar foe Spring Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Princeton will square off against rival James Kenan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
