Soccer Game Preview: Notre Dame (SO) vs. Harvard-Westlake

Notre Dame (SO) hasn't had much luck against Harvard-Westlake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Notre Dame (SO) Knights will square off against the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Harvard-Westlake took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Notre Dame (SO), who comes in off a win.

Notre Dame (SO) will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Marymount on Monday. Notre Dame (SO) put the hurt on Marymount with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Harvard-Westlake entered their match against Chaminade on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Harvard-Westlake fell just short of Chaminade by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wolverines came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Eagles are ranked 168th).

Notre Dame (SO) is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2-3 record this season.
