Preview: San Domenico Panthers vs. University Red Devils
San Domenico and University are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The San Domenico Panthers are on the road again on Saturday and plays the University Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
San Domenico stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over Marin Academy. Given San Domenico's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Marin Academy is ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, University entered their tilt with Lick-Wilmerding with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. University walked away with a 58-50 win over Lick-Wilmerding on Thursday.
San Domenico has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.
San Domenico didn't have too much breathing room in their game against University in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win.
