Otay Ranch had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Vista Panthers, posting a 63-22 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Otay Ranch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elisa Cruz out in front who went 7-for-9 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cruz a new career-high in field goal percentage (78%). Anaya Carter was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Otay Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Vista's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Isabella Mosley and Ava Gonzalez. Mosley posted 12 points, while Gonzalez put up seven points. Mosley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Otay Ranch pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.

Coming up, Otay Ranch will be playing at home against West Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Hills will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Otay Ranch surely won't give up without a fight. Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
