Basketball Recap: North Star Cougars vs. Glendale Vikings
The North Star Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight defeat. They fell 37-28 to Glendale.
Glendale was led to victory by Sophia Leiden and Madison Peterson. Leiden scored eight points along with 20 rebounds and five blocks, while Peterson scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
North Star dropped their record down to 3-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.6 points per game. As for Glendale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Star will take on the Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glendale, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Penns Manor is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.
