Football Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a strong season so far, Jasper has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hartselle Tigers. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Jasper still got an impressive performance from Micah Pledger, who rushed for 90 yards and one score.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Hartselle, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper will square off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hartselle, they will take on Muscle Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 7.2, the Trojans 4.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
