Football Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Valley lost against Lassen back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Grizzlies 53-6. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Central Valley lost, don't look at Drason Recio. Despite the final result, he rushed for 67 yards and one TD. Recio showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.

Lassen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dathen Moore led the charge by rushing for 93 yards and one score on only five carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards. Brian Rudd was another key player, throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Central Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Lassen, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Central Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lassen, they will square off against Corning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
