Baseball Recap: Harwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Harwood extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-3. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Randolph Ghosts. That's two games straight that the Highlanders have won by exactly seven runs.

Nick Casey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on one hit and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Graycen Van Solkema was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Harwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since May 27, 2025.

On Randolph's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Langlois, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harwood will welcome Peoples Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Randolph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Country Union at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ghosts 4, the Falcons 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
