Soccer Recap: Valencia Takes a Loss

Valencia lost against Saugus back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valencia Vikings fell 3-1 to the Saugus Centurions. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Centurions are ranked 51st).

Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Saugus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia has already played their next matchup (against Castaic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saugus will challenge West Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saugus' defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so West Ranch's offense will have their work cut out for them.
