It was a good run, but Mt. Zion unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Riverdale Raiders, falling 10-4. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Christian Hurt and Kamari Adkins did some serious damage despite the final result: Hurt scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Adkins scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Hurt has posted since back in March of 2024. Ronnie Terry was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mt. Zion now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Riverdale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

While Mt. Zion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
