Softball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Notre Dame's offense. They fell just short of the Jefferson City Jays by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Notre Dame's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Jefferson City, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will challenge Sikeston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jefferson City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Chillicothe at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Jays' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
