Staley had lost six games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-6 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lincoln North Star Navigators 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since September 26, 2024.

As for Lincoln North Star, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since September 3, 2024.

For Lincoln North Star's part, Skyla Whitten made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Miller-Willis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staley will head out to take on Lee's Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln North Star, they will venture away from home to square off against Millard South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
