Recap: Springdale Dynamos vs. Riverview Raiders
If the Springdale Dynamos were riding high off their 47-21 takedown of the Sto-Rox Vikings on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Springdale took a 47-29 bruising from Riverview on Thursday. Springdale lost against Riverview in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-15 score last time.
Riverview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katerina Tsambis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Isabel Chaparro was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Springdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Riverview, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
Springdale will head out on the road to face off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greensburg Central Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Springdale in Pennsylvania (Greensburg Central Catholic is ranked 72nd, while Springdale is ranked 573rd). As for Riverview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leechburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
