Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Day Cavaliers vs. Liberty County Panthers

Calvary Day is a perfect 7-0 against Liberty County since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Calvary Day Cavaliers will host the Liberty County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Calvary Day will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Calvary Day beat Southeast Bulloch 5-1.

Cutter Powell was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Max Arnold, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Liberty County's offense. They came up short against Calvary Day on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Calvary Day pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
