Recap: Nevada Union Miners vs. El Dorado Cougars
It was a good run, but the Nevada Union Miners unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a hard 55-41 fall against El Dorado. Nevada Union was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as El Dorado apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Alana Schneider continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for El Dorado, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Schneider has scored at least 25% of El Dorado's points. Bianca Bunch was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nevada Union will be home for the holidays to greet Cosumnes Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cosumnes Oaks is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for El Dorado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bella Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
