Football Recap: Montevideo Falls to Melrose in First Game of Season

Montevideo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of the Melrose Dutchmen on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montevideo will face off against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Melrose, they will head out to face off against Sauk Centre at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
