Softball Recap: Lindsay Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Lindsay lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Norman, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Leopards' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 12-0 shutout on Saturday. For the Leopards, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

Lindsay pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Norman, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lindsay will welcome Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Leopards 1.4, the Comets 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Norman, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Deer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
