Bishop Gorman at St. Thomas Aquinas, Chaminade-Madonna vs. St. John Bosco and IMG Academy at Corner Canyon headline loaded slate in Sunshine State.

Four matchups featuring nationally-ranked programs going head-to-head are among this week's biggest high school football games in Florida. No. 2 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) travels to No. 11 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), No. 9 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) takes on No. 4 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.), No. 3 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) plays at No. 18 Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) and No. 20 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) battles No. 6 Milton (Ga.).

Bishop Gorman and St. Thomas Aquinas face off for the first time since 2016 when the Gaels pulled out a 25-24 win in triple-overtime. Expect another close game Saturday as Gorman is 51-4 over the past four years while Aquinas is 65-3 over the same span.

St. John Bosco travels over 2,300 miles to Chaminade-Madonna on Saturday. This will be the first meeting between two of the most consistent programs over the last decade. St. John Bosco is the only school to finish the season ranked each year since 2013, while Chaminade-Madonna has made it to the state championship game eight straight years and have won six titles since 2017.

IMG Academy rides an 18-game winning streak into its showdown at Corner Canyon on Thursday. The Ascenders feature 32 players rated as a three-star recruits or higher according to 247Sports. Corner Canyon showcased its high-powered offense last week, knocking off American Fork 70-42 to open the season. The Chargers have gone 64-6 over the past five seasons while IMG Academy owns a 44-3 record during that time.

The headline game Friday night features American Heritage looking to pull off a modest upset over Peach State powerhouse Milton, who have beaten nationally-ranked teams in each of its last four games dating back to last season. The Eagles are favored to repeat as state champions in the highest classification in Georgia but the Patriots have a loaded roster headlined by top 25 Texas commit Dia Bell under center.

Another game that will garner plenty of attention is the head coaching debut of former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The nine-year NFL veteran leads his alma mater Northwestern (Miami, Fla.) into battle Thursday night against Coconut Creek (Coconut Creek, Fla.) for a stiff test opening week.
