Softball Game Preview: Paschal Panthers vs. Azle Hornets

The Paschal Panthers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Azle Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Monday, Paschal came up short against Joshua and fell 7-3. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Owls: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Azle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ryan on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since February 25, 2025.

Lilliana Johnson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Brianna Zalesky was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.
