Football Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] Outlaws 50-19. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Solomon Scott threw for 183 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Gannon Hobbs was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards. On the ground, Cayne Windsor rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs.

This is the second loss in a row for Southeast and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven], their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will venture away from home to face off against Uniontown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Lancers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven], they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Medicine Lodge at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
