Soccer Recap: Sequoia Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sequoia had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat the Branham Bruins by a goal, winning 2-1. Given Sequoia's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Branham are ranked 491st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sequoia now has a winning record of 9-8-4. As for Branham, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-8.

Sequoia has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Aptos on the 25th. Branham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
