Soccer Game Preview: Bonita vs. King

Bonita is on a three-game streak of home wins, while King is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bearcats will host Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonita's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, Bonita needed a bit of extra time to put away La Serna. They beat the Lancers by a goal, winning 2-1. Given Bonita's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while La Serna are ranked 318th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Abigail Coppolo and Madison Van Duyne scored both of Bonita's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, King extended their postseason success on Saturday against Alta Loma. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Wolves who were credited with the victory.

King's win bumped their record up to 17-7-6. As for Bonita, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5-1.
