Meanwhile, Fountain Valley entered their contest against Edison on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Fountain Valley fell just short of Edison by a score of 1-0. The Barons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newport Harbor's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matches. As for Fountain Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2-3.
