Cherokee Trail is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Fort Collins is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cougars will welcome the Lambkins at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cherokee Trail's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Denver South. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

In other batting news, Cherokee Trail let Abby Anderson and Isabelle Becker run wild. Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Cherokee Trail hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fort Collins struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Cherokee Trail's way against Fort Collins in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Cherokee Trail made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lambkins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
