Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lassiter Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Tuesday.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lassiter, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lassiter beat Sequoyah by a score of 10-9 later that day.
