Football Recap: Gadsden County Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Gadsden County had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Tift County Blue Devils, falling 22-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Jaguars came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 15th in Florida, while the Blue Devils are ranked 135th in Georgia).

Tift County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gadsden County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. on September 6. As for Tift County, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
