Ankeny took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Northwest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks never let Wolves get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. The result kept Ankeny happy, as they haven't lost a game since May 3rd.

Ankeny has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Northwest, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-2-4.
