Basketball Recap: Preuss UCSD Takes a Loss

If Preuss UCSD was riding high fresh off their 45-13 takedown of Liberty Charter last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Preuss UCSD Tritons lost to the High Tech NC Raptor on the road by a 41-27 margin on Tuesday. The Tritons have struggled against the Raptor recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Preuss UCSD saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rediet Neme posted 13 points. That was a full 48.1% of Preuss UCSD's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Preuss UCSD's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-9. As for High Tech NC, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Preuss UCSD didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-21 loss against Ocean View Christian on the 23rd. As for High Tech NC, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-26 defeat against Warner on the 23rd.
