It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Verdugo Hills can now relate to. They fell 52-42 to the Gahr Gladiators on Thursday. The Dons' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Verdugo Hills still got an impressive performance from Rayleen Castanos, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amiyya Castanos, who earned nine points and five steals.

Verdugo Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Gahr, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Verdugo Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gahr, they will head out on the road to take on Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
