Baldwin hadn't done well against Canon-McMillan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Highlanders walked away with a 46-37 victory over the Big Macs. The Highlanders have beaten the Big Macs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Big Macs has come to flipping the script.

Canon-McMillan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Borella, who shot 42% from the field on her way to 17 points along with six boards and four steals, and Brooke Stanton, who went 6-for-11 en route to 13 points.

Baldwin and Canon-McMillan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Highlanders (ranked 12th) will meet Peters Township (ranked 159th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Canon-McMillan will face off against North Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (50 vs. 242).
