Meanwhile, Summerville and Riverbank faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Tuesday. Summerville took a blow against Riverbank, falling 69-9. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 946th, while the Bruins are ranked 165th).

Calaveras' victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Summerville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
