Marietta lost to South Cobb back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-2 victory.

Jordyn Cunningham and Jayla Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Cunningham went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Stewart went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. McKenna Hall was another key player, getting five hits from her two at bats.

Marietta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

The win got Marietta back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Marietta will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge North Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Cobb, they will take on New Manchester at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
