Volleyball Game Preview: Menno Wolves vs. Avon Pirates

Menno is 2-7 against Avon since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wolves will host the Pirates at 6:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Menno came up short against Gayville-Volin on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Menno took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Avon lost 3-0 to Bridgewater/Emery on Thursday.

While Avon ultimately came up short, they really made Bridgewater/Emery work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-9, 25-16.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Menno, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.

Menno took their victory against Avon when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Pirates' Jordyn Voigt, who had 21 digs.
