Baseball Recap: Milford Comes Up Short

Milford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the St. Xavier Bombers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 16-5 to the Bombers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Milford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammy Cooper, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for St. Xavier, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Milford and St. Xavier are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Eagles will take on Beavercreek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Xavier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
