Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. Armijo

The Valley Vikings will challenge the Armijo Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Valley is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fairfield just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Falcons.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Armijo was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. Neither they nor Johnson could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Armijo's record moves to 5-6-2. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Valley beat Armijo by a goal when the teams last played on January 7th, winning 1-0. Does Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Armijo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
