Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDonough). They were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over the Jones County Greyhounds on Friday. Given McDonough's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Jones County are ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McDonough hit Jones County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ndamake Kassim Diarra (2), Jaylen Smith (2), Rickido Thomas, and Ousmane Ndiaye.

The victory was the third in a row for McDonough, bringing their record up to 7-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three games. As for Jones County, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Coming up, McDonough will head out to square off against Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jones County, they will host Ola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
