Basketball Recap: Clairton Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

If Bishop Canevin wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Clairton, they should've done a better job of containing Iyanna Wade. The Clairton Bears blew past the Bishop Canevin Crusaders 60-35 on Monday thanks in part to Wade, who posted 33 points. Her evening made it 43 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Clairton has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Bishop Canevin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Clairton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-56 win against California on the 28th. As for Bishop Canevin, they will square off against West Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
