Recap: West Shamokin Wolves vs. Conemaugh Township Indians
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portage, the West Shamokin Wolves were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top against Conemaugh Township by a score of 38-26.
Conemaugh Township's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Brenneman, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Brenneman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Fetterman, who scored six points along with four steals.
West Shamokin's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Conemaugh Township, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
West Shamokin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marion Center at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Marion Center's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Conemaugh Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Conemaugh Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
