Softball Recap: Boone Central Comes Up Short

Boone Central fell victim to St. Cecilia and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bluehawks, falling 9-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Boone Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for St. Cecilia, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Boone Central will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ponca at 5:30 p.m. As for St. Cecilia, they will head out on the road to challenge McCook at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
