Baseball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

Whitehall came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mondovi Buffaloes by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 back in April.

Deacon Steig made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mondovi, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Whitehall nor Mondovi have any future games scheduled.
