Baseball Recap: Putnam County Comes Up Short

Putnam County was the 11-10 winner over Dwight when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Dwight, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Putnam County will face off against rival Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dwight is set to challenge their familiar foe Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
