Basketball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Los Gatos Wildcats

The Milpitas Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Los Gatos Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Milpitas was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-25 to Homestead.

Meanwhile, everything went Los Gatos' way against Fremont on Friday as Los Gatos made off with a 45-24 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Los Gatos is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points over those games. As for Milpitas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Milpitas took a serious blow against Los Gatos when the teams last played back in January, falling 61-29. Can Milpitas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
