Newcomb and Laguna Acoma are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Skyhawks will face off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Newcomb is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Newcomb's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hozho Academy on Saturday. They were dealt a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Wolves. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Skyhawks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Laguna Acoma and McCurdy finished up on equal footing with a 6-6 tie on Friday.

Laguna Acoma's draw gives them a new season record of 2-3-1. As for Newcomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Things could have been worse for Newcomb, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-14 loss to Laguna Acoma in their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
