Basketball Game Preview: Garden Grove Argonauts vs. Westminster Lions

Garden Grove and Westminster are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Garden Grove had to suffer through a 83-40 loss at the hands of Workman. While losing is never fun, the Argonauts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 796th, while the Lobos are ranked 330th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Westminster challenged Orange on Saturday. Westminster walked away with a 52-45 victory over Orange.

Garden Grove's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Westminster, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Garden Grove might still be hurting after the 68-47 defeat they got from Westminster in their previous meeting back in January. Can Garden Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
