Football Recap: Southwest Dekalb Skates Past Jonesboro with Ease

It's playoff time, and Southwest DeKalb had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Jonesboro Cardinals, posting a 35-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Southwest DeKalb's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.4 points over those games. As for Jonesboro, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Southwest DeKalb will challenge Kell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
