Volleyball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland lost against Merrillville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Pirates.

Highland's offense was headlined by Hannah Ladewski and Reese Markus, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Elena Herrejon and her four assists.

Rheana Early was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces.

Highland now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Merrillville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Kouts on the 18th. As for Merrillville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Kankakee Valley on the 16th.
