Soccer Game Preview: Crisp County vs. Fitzgerald

The Crisp County Cougars will head out to square off against the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Crisp County had just enough and edged out Pierce County 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Bears are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Fitzgerald made sure to put some goals up on the board against Brantley County on Friday. They blew past the Herons 10-1. Considering the Purple Hurricane have won five contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Fitzgerald is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Crisp County's record is now 6-4.
