Basketball Game Preview: Moore Haven Terriers vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

Moore Haven hasn't had much luck against Okeechobee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Moore Haven Terriers are taking a road trip to take on the Okeechobee Brahmans at 7:30 p.m. Moore Haven will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Moore Haven got the win against Glades Day by a conclusive 64-39. The Terriers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Okeechobee can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Heritage 45-30. Given the Brahmans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Panthers are ranked 628th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Moore Haven's record is now 8-2. As for Okeechobee, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

Moore Haven came up short against Okeechobee when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 48-44. Can Moore Haven avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
