Baseball Game Preview: Saint Viator Lions vs. St. Patrick Shamrocks

For the second straight game, Saint Viator will face off against St. Patrick. The Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Shamrocks at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Saint Viator after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Patrick. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saint Viator got a good showing from Lincoln Sernel, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Sernel has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jonathan Tschanz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

St. Patrick has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Saint Viator, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
